Congratulations to Tabitha Brown! She is the Sandersville Technical College Sterrett Nursing Scholarship recipient for STC’s Main Campus and will receive a $500 scholarship. Brown was nominated by STC Practical Nursing Instructor Angela Helton. Brown is currently enrolled in the Practical Nursing Program and has a 3.56 GPA.

The Sterrett Nursing Scholarship is awarded each year to a practical nursing student at Sandersville Technical College based on the student’s submitted essay, scholarship requirements, and academic transcripts.

Helton describes Brown, “In the classroom Tabitha works hard to acquire the knowledge and understanding needed to excel when putting her clinical skills to work in a medical setting.”

Brown is an inspiration to those around her. “It had been so many years since I had been to school, and having three children, I wasn’t sure if I could do it. Now I do believe in myself, and I know that I can do this by all of the things I have achieved since I have been at STC.”
