“Fall”ow STC to Success

The Adult Literacy Department in Louisville placed first in the Jefferson County Lions Club Fair that was held October 22-28, 2007. Student Valencia Miller and others helped Ms. Coneway, STC Adult Literacy Instructor, assemble the prize-winning booth.

The display theme—“FALL”OW STC TO SUCCESS was decorated in bright autumn colors and was well received by the judges and fair goers. Ms. Coneway states that her intent was not on winning but to showcase and highlight the services of the adult literacy program and encourage potential students to enroll.

“The students and I had an amazingly fun time working on this project”, says Ms. Coneway. First place winners were given a ribbon and a monetary prize. Coneway says that this is a win not only for the adult literacy department but for Sandersville Technical College.
