STC to Provide OSHA Training

Sandersville – Sandersville Technical College will be offering training at its Main Campus in Sandersville this October regarding OSHA rules and regulations. This is your opportunity to become informed as to your responsibilities regarding OSHA’s rules and regulations.

The United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is an agency of the United States Department of Labor and was created in 1970 to prevent work-related injuries, illnesses, and deaths by issuing and enforcing rules (called standards) for workplace safety and health.

OSHA's statutory authority extends to most nongovernmental workplaces where there are employees.

Training will be offered Thursday, October 4 th from 8:00 AM to 3:00PM at Sandersville Technical College’s Main Campus in the Thiele Auditorium. The training will be taught by John Worrell, an OSHA Compliance Assistance Specialist from OSHA’s  Atlanta  office.

The subjects covered will be an overview of OSHA, OSHA Web Page Navigation, and OSHA Recordkeeping. Any questions regarding OSHA and its activities will also be addressed.

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the requirements to remain in compliance with OSHA regulations and do so locally.

Training is FREE, so register by October 1 st to guarantee your seat. You can email Amanda Terry at aterry@sandersvilletech.edu or call at 478-232-7245 to reserve your seat today!
