Tony Simmons is August Spotlight Educator of the Month

Welding Instructor at Sandersville Technical College, Tony Simmons was recognized as the Spotlight Educator in the Washington County School System.

Tony has taught the welding program at STC since 1999. He is married to Laura, and they have two children Tony, Jr. and Sumiko. They have one grandchild Nkoei Johnson. He is the deacon at New Birth Christian Ministries where he and Laura are also Marriage Retreat Coordinators. Tony's hobbies are gardening, fishing, playing basketball with his son, and spending time with his family.
